I like to think that I like to read a lot. Honestly though, I haven’t devoured books since the mid 2000’s, a point in my life that coincides with the arrival of both social media and my children. I know … Continue reading

It’s mental around here…
Not literally, in fact I’d prefer if I was so busy I’d no time to myself but I have had time to reflect on where I am right now and to be honest, things aren’t all that bad! Its mental … Continue reading

Whats up with the Elmo? The story behind my triathlon pal..
When I’m doing a triathlon I regularly get strange looks in transition. I know I’m not your pin up image of a triathlete but they’re not looking at me, the quizzical looks are normally directed at the fact that I … Continue reading
Really, you’re doing an Ironman, are you mad? – Ironman 70.3 Dublin – Race report.
Get a cup of tea and relax. This is a long race report because the Dublin Ironman 70.3 was a long race. Thanks for taking the time to read it & your comments at the bottom are very welcome… Continue reading

Committed to paper…
I’ve a reputation for going ‘gung ho’ into decisions and setting targets that I then have to work hard to achieve. Marathons, times, targets, Half Ironman triathlons and god forbid Ironman distance races!
Float like a butterfly & swim like a torpedo
My Swim for a mile report, tough but incredibly rewarding training and smiles all round at the end. Continue reading

Do yourself a favour…
We all have friends that are annoyingly positive and we all know people who are constantly negative. They both have their uses but for wildly differing reasons…
